The Differences:
Deep Tissue | Therapeutic | Swedish
Deep Tissue
Deep Tissue techniques use slow strokes and deep pressure to work on tight areas to release specific muscle tension and restore flexibility. This massage service is generally slower than Swedish and is used for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or recovery from injury. Trigger Point Therapy and stretching are also utilized during these targeted sessions.
*People often feel sore for one to two days after deep tissue massage as it can alleviate long term chronic muscular pain from the body.
Therapeutic
Therapeutic massage is focused toward one or more specific areas that need attention and is good for past or present injuries. This service involves the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasm, and promotes health and wellness. This massage is the perfect mix of relaxation everywhere else, and "getting things done" at your focus areas without being as intense as Deep Tissue.
May include Trigger Point Therapy or stretching.
Swedish
Calm your mind, body, and spirit with a massage at your requested intensity. This type of massage style will alleviate stiffness and fatigue as well as improve circulation. This is a relaxation massage that is a general, whole body experience that will relax the muscles without leaving them tender or sore.
